Senior Scientist - Translational Safety & Risk Sciences (TSRS)

What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable data infrastructure, databases, registries, and visualization solutions for New Approach Methodologies and Translational Safety & Risk Sciences workflows.
• Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using Spotfire and develop analytics solutions in Databricks.
• Integrate NAMs, clinical, and other structured and unstructured datasets with enterprise data through pipelines and AI/ML workflows.
• Define metadata standards, ontology mappings, data models, and controlled vocabularies for complex biological entities, assays, samples, and readouts.
• Support data governance, data quality, reproducibility, predictive modeling, and translational safety analyses.
• Collaborate with scientific, data engineering, IT, and AI/ML teams to translate complex scientific and technical information into actionable insights.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in a relevant field, or a master's degree with 3 years of scientific or data science experience, or a bachelor's degree with 5 years of scientific or data science experience.
• Experience developing data infrastructure and analytics solutions in Databricks environments.
• Knowledge of relational databases, data engineering workflows, cloud analytics platforms, and Spotfire dashboard development.
• Experience integrating platforms such as Benchling, SharePoint, Databricks, Spotfire, LIMS, or ELN systems.
• Understanding of FAIR data principles, metadata standards, ontologies, data governance, NAMs, toxicology, translational safety, and drug development.
• Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and multidisciplinary stakeholder-management skills.
