Lead AI/ML Engineer (Life Sciences)

Location: Must be based in the Boston region, with onsite attendance required 4-5 days per week.

Salary: $150,000–$240,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, train, and validate AI/ML products.
• Advise executive leadership on technical and commercial feasibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable AI products.
• Engage directly with customers to understand the impact of AI in life sciences.
• Develop advanced AI solutions including reinforcement learning and LLM agent harnesses.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Boston region and able to work onsite 4-5 days per week.
• Advanced degree in Biological, Data, or Computer Science.
• 10+ years of AI/ML development experience, or 5+ years in commercial life sciences/healthcare.
• Proven track record of deploying AI models for real-world problems.
• Expertise in at least one of: ML reinforcement learning, automated retraining, or LLM agentic governance.
• Must not require visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Degree in AI or ML.
• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical drug development hurdles.
• Ability to advocate and evangelize for AI initiatives.
