2027 Commercial Summer Intern (Oil & Gas)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. The 10-week internship starts June 1, 2027, and candidates must currently reside in the U.S. with permanent authorization to work in the U.S.

What you will do

• Support Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers in the Oil & Gas vertical.
• Prepare industry and market environment summaries and preliminary customer, prospect, sponsor, and borrower analyses.
• Analyze financial statements, projections, operating history, repayment capacity, profitability, risk, and facility ratings.
• Identify potential credit policy exceptions and recommend measures to mitigate credit risks.
• Participate in commercial borrower underwriting and communicate financial analysis and account management matters internally.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate bachelor's program or graduate program, with graduation between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2; a GPA of 3.5 is preferred. The cumulative GPA must be included on the resume.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Relevant finance, accounting, or economics coursework or experience is preferred; all majors may be considered.
• U.S. residency and permanent authorization to work in the U.S. are required. Immigration sponsorship and work visas are not available.
• A video interview assessment must be completed within four days of receiving the link.
