Optical Manager, Certified (ABO) – Sam’s Club

Location: Onsite at 4545 S Mooney Blvd, Visalia, California, United States

Hourly wage: $32.00–$44.00, plus possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Drive Vision Center sales through merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, inventory control, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of customer and community needs.
• Provide optical services, including customer consultations, product selection, measurements, prescription verification, minor frame repair, and equipment maintenance.
• Supervise, hire, train, mentor, assign duties to, and recognize Vision Center associates.
• Ensure compliance with company and legal requirements, confidentiality standards, safety controls, asset protection, and quality assurance procedures.
• Resolve customer and associate concerns under company policies and the Open Door Policy while building relationships with key stakeholders.
• Implement business initiatives, measure performance, identify improvement opportunities, and promote continuous learning and belonging.

Requirements

• Completion of two or more years of college, or one year of retail experience plus one year of supervisory experience, or two years of general work experience including one year of optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and rules.
• Ability to work onsite at the Visalia, California location.
• Preferred: experience supervising associates.
