Manager, Global Procurement (Japan)

What you will do

• Execute global procurement priorities and category strategies in the Japan market.
• Lead sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management activities.
• Provide Japan market insights to strengthen global category strategies.
• Review contracts and monitor country spend trends using data and market intelligence.
• Drive cost savings, cash-flow improvements, procurement efficiencies, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with collaborators, country leads, category teams, and suppliers to align procurement with business needs.

Requirements

• Hybrid position based in Tokyo, Japan.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of indirect procurement experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environments.
• Experience with sourcing, negotiations, contracting, supplier relationships, market evaluation, risk, compliance, and financial assessment.
• Experience supporting global category teams, processes, and suppliers; commercial, corporate/indirect, and R&D category experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of ERP and eRFx platforms, including Oracle, Zycus, GEP, or Ariba, plus Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
