Electrical Engineer II (Hardware Design)

Location: Hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in the Holtsville, New York office and 2 remote days in the US

Salary: $76,640–$114,960 annual base pay, plus a target annual cash incentive equal to 10% of base pay

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test new data capture products as part of a larger engineering team.
• Develop circuits, enter schematics, select electrical components, and modify existing electrical designs.
• Create and test component- and circuit-level prototypes against design requirements.
• Review test results, perform root cause analysis, and recommend improvements to product performance and productivity.
• Use oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, frequency generators, logic analyzers, and other electrical test equipment.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Optical, Manufacturing, vendor, customer, and technician stakeholders while documenting results to ISO 9000 standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field with at least 2 years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least 1 year of experience.
• Electronic hardware design experience.
• Experience using common electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
• Ability to communicate technical details clearly, work across organizational boundaries, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work at least 3 days per week from the Holtsville, New York office.

Nice to have

• Cadence experience.
• Experience with embedded systems and embedded software.
• Schematic entry, simulation, and PCB layout experience.
• Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals and attention to detail.
