Senior Java Developer (Java/Angular)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site work required

Salary: $155,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential bonus or incentive opportunities

What you will do

• Design, build, and support scalable Java-based web services and modern Angular user interfaces.
• Develop enterprise applications, REST APIs, microservices, and front-end/back-end integrations.
• Lead software delivery in an Agile Scrum environment from solution design through production support.
• Guide feature implementation, production stability, monitoring, testing, and maintainable engineering practices.
• Mentor developers through code reviews, quality standards, and technical guidance.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on Java and related frameworks.
• 8+ years of experience building dynamic, responsive web applications with Angular.
• Extensive experience with enterprise web applications, Java services, REST APIs, microservices, and application integrations.
• Experience leading Agile delivery and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with AIDLC, code reviews, unit and integration testing, test automation, and maintainable software design.

Nice to have

• Spring Boot, CI/CD, Git, Cucumber, MongoDB, SQL, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Jira, and Splunk.
• Experience optimizing applications for performance, scalability, resiliency, and security.
• Experience providing level-three production support and developing monitoring dashboards.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
