Pharmacy Technician (Retail Pharmacy)

Location: Burnley, United Kingdom; onsite in the Burnley Extra store

Salary: £14.21 per hour, rising to £15.48 per hour in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments.

What you will do

• Dispense prescription medicines accurately and assess their legal appropriateness.
• Provide professional advice on medicines, ailments and pharmacy services.
• Support pharmacy management, standard operating procedures and dispensary routines.
• Maintain clean, organised and compliant dispensary and consultation areas.
• Handle customer and healthcare professional queries within scope of competence.
• Complete prescription administration, promote pharmacy services and support team members.

Requirements

• NVQ-level Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician qualification, or equivalent.
• Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician.
• Evidence of completing a recognised Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician training programme.
• Proof of meeting annual Continuing Professional Development requirements.
• Availability for scheduled shifts during the stated windows: Monday 08:00–16:00, Thursday 12:00–20:00, and Friday 08:00–16:00.
