What you will do
- Receive, book in, store, pick, dispense, and dispatch medicines for homecare patients.
- Maintain accurate system records and apply batch control and first-expired, first-out principles.
- Follow standard operating procedures, Good Documentation Practice, Good Warehouse Practice, and operational KPIs.
- Perform compliance and quality checks across warehouse and pharmacy operations.
- Escalate discrepancies and issues to management or the Responsible Pharmacist.
- Record incidents and complaints, support investigations, and manage medicine returns and safe disposal.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing Assistant or an equivalent qualification.
- Pharmacy and/or warehouse experience, including experience following standard operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organisation, communication, and IT skills.
- Experience with warehouse or pharmacy systems.
- Understanding of safeguarding at Level 1 or equivalent, safe manual handling, and Good Documentation Practice.
- Ability to work onsite in Stockport, Cheshire, in a shift-based role involving frequent manual handling.
