Hardware Engineering Manager

Location: San Francisco, California; 4 days onsite

Salary: $200,000–$230,000 annually plus a performance-based bonus of 10%.

What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of hardware engineers delivering hardware solutions.
• Oversee the design, development, and testing of hardware components and systems.
• Collaborate with software engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, priorities, and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
• Develop best practices for hardware development processes and track emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in hardware engineering and team management.
• Experience taking physical hardware products from concept and architecture through prototype, RF, EVT/DVT/PVT, certification, NPI, mass production, and sustaining.
• Strong understanding of hardware design, development, and testing processes.
• Leadership, communication, project prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Experience with hardware development tools, technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
