  • Design and deliver personalized professional development journeys tailored to each school, teacher, and implementation stage.
  • Coach teachers in real classrooms through observations, live modeling, feedback cycles, and developmentally appropriate instructional strategies.

  • Build teachers' understanding of young children's mathematical thinking, instructional questioning, and different learning needs while acting as a thought partner to educators and school leaders.
  • Lead math-focused workshops, build a regional community of early childhood math educators, drive measurable instructional impact, and travel 30–50% to support implementation.

Requirements

  • Strong background in early childhood education and mathematics education, including current or former experience as an early childhood, preschool, Transitional Kindergarten, or early elementary educator.
  • Deep understanding of early mathematical development, including number sense, counting, cardinality, quantity recognition, pattern recognition, spatial reasoning, and early problem-solving.
  • Ability to make mathematical concepts accessible through play, exploration, manipulatives, and meaningful classroom interactions.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting educators and helping teachers reflect on practice and grow in confidence.
  • Passion for bringing research into the classroom and positively impacting the mathematical development of young children and educators.
  • Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice, including balancing purposeful mathematical instruction with curiosity, play, and hands-on exploration.
  • Expertise in creating meaningful relationships and generating opportunities with school leaders and district-level administrators, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong educator-to-educator communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Hands-on approach, willingness to build from scratch, entrepreneurial mindset, comfort with an early-stage environment, and willingness to travel to schools and classrooms in the region.
