Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. Hybrid work model with time split between the assigned site and off-site work.
Annual salary: $115,110–$219,550 USD.

What you will do
- Use advanced metrology tools and QTMs to support yield objectives and identify defects affecting silicon process performance.
- Characterize processes and create defect reduction roadmaps for advanced technology development.
- Organize and present defect summaries to Logic Technology Development engineering teams.
- Partner with integration, yield, and failure analysis groups to determine defect root causes.
- Develop and qualify process fixes, ramp technologies to manufacturing volumes, and transfer them using the Copy Exactly Methodology.
- Promote quality, safety, accountability, collaboration, and excellence across defect metrology teams.
Requirements
- Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or PhD with 1+ years of experience, in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
- Experience with materials characterization, materials fabrication, synthesis, metrology, or statistical and data analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Excel, or JMP.
- Experience with semiconductor processing fundamentals, device physics, or design of experiments.
- Strong data analysis, problem debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in 's hybrid model, including on-site work at the Hillsboro, Oregon location.
Nice to have
- Experience with Statistical Process Control or Design of Experiments principles.
- Expertise in semiconductor physics, semiconductor processing, yield improvement, or defect improvement.
- Experience with Brightfield, Darkfield, or Voltage Contrast metrology.
- Experience with Klarity, JMP, Model-Based Problem Solving, or Fishbone Analysis.
