Director, Workforce Planning

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas, United States; onsite at the Upstream Building AR Bentonville Home Office

Annual salary: $110,000–$220,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead complex workforce planning projects and translate business requirements into actionable analytics solutions.
• Develop workforce analytics, evaluation strategies, forecasting processes, and operational improvement plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to validate workforce data and support annual operational planning.
• Oversee project execution, resource allocation, milestone tracking, and compliance with company standards.
• Drive capability gap analysis, recruitment support, mentoring, talent development, and succession planning.
• Communicate project outcomes and build stakeholder partnerships to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field and 5 years of relevant experience, or 7 years of relevant experience without the degree requirement.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Extensive experience in workforce planning and management, including leadership of complex projects and cross-functional teams.
• Strong expertise in data analysis, statistical methods, business intelligence, project management, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to analyze costs, forecasts, and operational processes to improve workforce effectiveness.
• Experience mentoring employees and developing high-performing teams.

Nice to have

• Retail operations experience.
• Master’s degree in Analytics or Computer Science.
