Registered Nurse, PRN

Location: On-site in Pittston and Minersville, Pennsylvania, United States. PRN coverage is scheduled Monday–Friday as needed across two health center locations.

What you will do

• Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners on further evaluation and care.
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments, including EKGs, audiometry, spirometry, and vision tests.
• Administer medications and emergency care within the legal scope of practice.
• Maintain medical equipment, infection-control standards, a clean environment, and accurate patient health records.
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an associate degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification may be required depending on the site contract.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or ambulatory care clinic.
• COHN/COHN-S, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification is preferred and may be required at some sites.
