What you will do
- Oversee daily operations in the paint department while performing standard painting and finishing duties.
- Set up and operate spray painting equipment, maintain and clean paint lines, inspect finish quality, and complete SAP transactions.
- Coordinate workflow, assign tasks, support shift handoffs, and help meet production schedules.
- Train and mentor employees on paint processes, equipment use, quality standards, and safe work practices.
- Troubleshoot equipment, materials, and technique issues and support improvements across paint lines A, B, and C.
- Monitor productivity, quality, safety, PPE use, and hazardous material handling, escalating issues when needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in automotive, industrial, or aircraft spray painting, or auto body work.
- Demonstrated proficiency with spray painting equipment and applying high-quality finishes.
- Strong mechanical skills and experience using hand and repair tools.
- Computer proficiency, including the ability to use SAP for inventory and routing.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior mentoring, training, or work coordination experience preferred.
