What you will do

• Support EDA compute clusters used for simulation, physical verification, OPC, lithography, signoff, and tapeout workloads.
• Operate, optimize, and troubleshoot IBM LSF and other batch scheduling environments for high-throughput engineering workloads.
• Analyze job failures, hung jobs, queue bottlenecks, license constraints, compute-node issues, and workload performance problems.
• Provide technical ownership for hybrid EDA HPC platforms across on-premises infrastructure and AWS.
• Support and optimize NFS, NetApp ONTAP, AWS FSx, S3, and other high-performance storage services.
• Develop automation, observability, reliability improvements, incident response, and root-cause analysis for EDA computing services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience for MTS or 10+ years for Senior MTS in EDA computing, HPC, Linux infrastructure, storage, cloud, or production engineering support.
• Strong experience with EDA computing, HPC, or large-scale Linux production environments, including batch schedulers and RHEL-based administration.
• Experience with Bash scripting and the ability to analyze complex incidents, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• Experience with semiconductor design and tapeout flows, including Calibre, ASML Brion, Cadence, Synopsys, or similar EDA applications.
• AWS or other cloud experience for HPC workloads, plus NetApp ONTAP, NFS, FSx, S3, or high-performance file storage experience.
• Python automation, monitoring, logging, dashboarding, capacity reporting, and operational analytics experience.
• Project management, planning, organizational, and technical communication skills.
