What you will do

  • Perform tissue fixation, processing, paraffin embedding, microtomy, sectioning, and slide preparation.
  • Conduct routine and special stains, including H&E, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and RNAscope when applicable.
  • Process animal and human tissues and biological specimens according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with the in vivo pharmacology team to support tissue evaluation.
  • Troubleshoot processing, sectioning, staining, and IHC issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze histological findings and contribute to study reports, presentations, documentation, and data records.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Histology, Pathology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Ph.D. or advanced degree with 0–2 years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience with tissue fixation and processing, paraffin embedding, microtomy, H&E staining, slide preparation, and microscopic evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of tissue morphology, histological structures, and pathological changes.
  • Ability to independently execute protocols, troubleshoot technical challenges, and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
  • Proficient written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with special stains and immunohistochemistry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
