What you will do

• Support day-to-day laboratory activities within a molecular biology core.
• Prepare and sterilize bacterial and yeast growth media and maintain reagent and media inventories.
• Fulfill molecular cloning and DNA preparation requests and deliver purified DNA.
• Perform sample preparation, aliquoting, labeling, and registration.
• Maintain experimental records, sample registration data, databases, and electronic notebooks.
• Operate and maintain laboratory automation and liquid handling equipment for high-throughput cloning workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology and recombinant DNA technologies.
• Experience with microbial transformation and handling.
• Strong interest in hands-on laboratory work and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced research environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with PCR, restriction enzyme digestion, DNA purification, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, and bacterial or yeast transformation.
• Knowledge of DNA analysis software such as Geneious Prime or similar platforms.
• Experience with laboratory automation or liquid handling systems.
