Full-Stack Developer (Shopify)

Location: Remote in Canada; 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary: $111,000–$137,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, maintain, and enhance scalable full-stack web applications and eCommerce solutions.
• Build custom Shopify solutions and integrated Microsoft Dynamics 365 backend components.
• Own project lifecycles from concept through deployment and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, UI/UX, QA, Marketing, and business stakeholders on the technology roadmap.
• Improve application availability, observability, performance, and reliability.
• Evaluate third-party tools, APIs, and Shopify apps against custom development options.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional web development experience, including at least 3 years of enterprise-level Shopify development.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be able to work remotely from Canada.

Nice to have

• Shopify Liquid, custom app development with Node.js or Remix, Shopify GraphQL and REST APIs, and Shopify Functions or Checkout extensibility.
• React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SASS, and headless commerce experience.
• Backend development with Node.js, Java, C#, or PHP and SQL or NoSQL databases.
• AWS, Microsoft Azure, CI/CD, shell scripting, GitHub or Bitbucket, and automated testing experience.
• Client-facing experience, strategic problem solving, and Agile experience.
