TL;DR
Staff Fullstack Engineer (AI) (Identity Security Fabric): Building a secure, interoperable control plane for human and non-human identities with an accent on distributed systems, agent authentication, authorization, and AI-native engineering. Focus on implementing Discover, Onboard, Protect, and Govern capabilities, enforcing least privilege, and scaling reliable access decisions across enterprise environments.
Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Salary: $160,000–$220,000 CAD annual base salary, plus applicable equity, bonus, and benefits.

What you will do
- Shape the technical strategy for the Identity Security Fabric and prioritize open standards such as IPSIE.
- Implement the Discover, Onboard, Protect, and Govern maturity model across fullstack systems.
- Architect systems that discover and secure AI agents, including Shadow AI assets.
- Enforce secure access and least privilege through Agent Gateways and short-lived credentials.
- Improve AI-native development practices, CI/CD, observability, documentation, reliability, and support processes.
- Partner with Product and Design, and raise the technical bar through peer mentorship.
Requirements
- Experience defining scalable backend architectures and integrating complex APIs with modern web technologies.
- Strong understanding of web authentication, authorization, and sensitive data security.
- Deep expertise building reliable, secure, enterprise-grade software using Java or another type-safe programming language.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with the ability to contribute to frontend development.
- Strong cloud architecture knowledge and experience designing and operating large-scale services on AWS.
- Ability to apply AI across the software development lifecycle and guide adoption of AI tooling.
Nice to have
- Experience leading changes in AI adoption, developer tooling, or engineering culture.
- Experience building or maintaining publicly released SDKs for external developers.
- Experience with IAM tooling or a zero-to-one, startup-like engineering team.
