Revenue & Receivables Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Remote, Mexico

What you will do

• Process and review customer invoices, credit memos, adjustments, payments, and cash application activities.
• Manage and reconcile accounts receivable balances, aging reports, unapplied cash, revenue accounts, and deferred revenue schedules.
• Prepare journal entries, revenue and AR reports, variance analyses, and documentation for accurate financial reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, internal audits, external audits, and revenue-related reporting.
• Investigate billing discrepancies, customer disputes, payment variances, and contract billing issues with cross-functional teams.
• Improve billing, receivables, revenue, internal control, and close processes, including automation and system enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles; ASC 606 experience is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP, along with strong Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills with close attention to detail.
• Fluent written and oral English communication is required.
