Senior Accountant (NetSuite)

Location: Remote from Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, or Costa Rica; U.S. business hours required

hirify.global is hiring for a client seeking an accountant to manage core accounting operations and financial reporting.

What you will do

• Lead monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, trial balances, close checklists, and supporting schedules.
• Reconcile cash, AR, AP, deferred revenue, inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts.
• Prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements and analyze budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual performance.
• Prepare audit documentation, support tax and compliance requirements, and maintain accounting controls.
• Improve accounting workflows, reconciliations, reporting, ERP processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Review and mentor junior accountants and collaborate with FP&A, operations, sales, and leadership.

Requirements

• 4–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accrual accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience; experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP is valuable.
• Experience preparing financial statements and performing reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and financial analysis; excellent English communication skills.

Nice to have

• CPA or ACCA qualification.
• Multi-entity, foreign currency, SaaS, real estate, or professional services accounting experience.
• ERP implementation, optimization, accounting automation, or process-improvement experience.
