Senior Staff Forward Deployed Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid work opportunities with approximately 40–50% travel to customer sites. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

What you will do

• Partner with enterprise financial institution customers throughout discovery, design, implementation, and go-live.
• Translate regulatory, security, compliance, and business requirements, including SOC 2, PCI, FFIEC, and GLBA, into technical designs and deployment plans.
• Design and build secure integrations using APIs, event-driven systems, and data pipelines.
• Lead architecture reviews, risk assessments, troubleshooting, and production deployments across application, infrastructure, data, and security layers.
• Write production-grade code and reusable components that evolve into core product capabilities.
• Collaborate with product, platform, security, and compliance teams to influence the roadmap and develop scalable deployment patterns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 12 years of related experience, an advanced degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent written and oral English communication.
• U.S. work authorization for any employer is required.
• Experience designing secure, scalable solutions for regulated financial institutions or enterprises.
• Strong technical depth, product thinking, and ability to build trust with senior technical and business stakeholders.
• Availability for approximately 40–50% travel to customer sites.
