Senior Software Engineer - Partner Integrations (FinTech)

Location: Remote. Roles posted in New York, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City are hybrid with on-site expectations of 2–3 days per week; candidates outside these areas may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Salary: $172,000–$215,000 USD for Tier 1 locations; $154,800–$193,500 USD for Tier 2 locations; $146,200–$182,750 USD for Tier 3 locations.

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend systems and services for external partner integrations.
• Develop payment integrations and user experiences that support hirify.global’s product offerings.
• Design and operate robust, fault-tolerant systems with multiple external dependencies.
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, Infrastructure, Sales, Partner, and Customer Success teams.
• Align scope and delivery expectations with technical and non-technical stakeholders while executing hands-on work.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years with Java.
• Proficiency with Java, Spring, Gradle, JUnit, and JVM memory and performance tuning.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture, REST APIs, message queues, and scalable architectures.
• Experience with AWS services including EKS, Aurora RDS, ElastiCache, and DynamoDB, plus containerization tools.
• Experience building fault-tolerant systems and data pipelines.
• Ability to work with ownership on a globally distributed team and collaborate across functions.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Git, and automation.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog.
• Experience with Snowflake, CDK, or Terraform.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and improving engineering standards.
