FinOps Lead (Fintech)

Location: Remote, currently hiring in Mexico and Colombia. The company plans to transition to a hybrid, hub-centric strategy with hubs in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.

hirify.global is a Series B fintech building an AI-powered WhatsApp financial ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S., including remittances, wallets, and cards powered by AI, blockchain, and stablecoins.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end reconciliations across customer balances, internal ledgers, processors, bank or custodial accounts, and the general ledger.
• Design reconciliation workflows, matching logic, cutoff rules, tolerances, controls, and exception-handling procedures.
• Partner with Engineering and Data to automate reconciliation processes and validate completeness and accuracy.
• Investigate reconciling items, financial-flow failures, delays, and anomalies, providing root-cause analysis and remediation plans.
• Maintain Wallets & Cards subledgers and ensure operational activity is accurately mapped to the general ledger.
• Build scalable SOPs, reporting, ownership, operating cadences, and escalation frameworks for financial operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 6–9 years of experience in financial operations, reconciliations, accounting, controllership, payments operations, or a related function.
• Experience with high-volume reconciliation processes and a strong accounting foundation, including subledgers and general-ledger flows.
• Technical fluency and experience translating financial requirements into system logic with Engineering and Data teams.
• SQL or similar transaction-level data-analysis capabilities are strongly preferred.
• Advanced or fluent English is required for daily communication and interviews.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, banking, wallets, cards, brokerage, or another transaction-heavy business.
• Experience building or improving financial processes and controls from scratch in a fast-moving environment.
