2027 Underwriter Summer Internship Program

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely. Available in Warren, New Jersey; Miami, Florida; or New York, New York. Candidates must possess permanent US employment authorization; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Salary: $800–$1,000 per week, with benefits available for the duration of the internship.

What you will do

• Support casualty and property underwriting teams in daily underwriting activities.
• Participate in broker meetings and assist with gathering account information.
• Help pre-qualify deals and prepare summaries for underwriting submissions.
• Classify submissions for reporting and data analytics.
• Shadow underwriters during exposure analysis and monitor rate change and account tracking reports.
• Participate in professional development workshops, networking events, and preparation for the Rotational Development Program.

Requirements

• Currently a junior pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Leadership or involvement in extracurricular activities, campus organizations, or community activities.
• Permanent US employment authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
