Underwriting Summer Internship (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid role requiring applicants to be within commuting distance of Charlotte, North Carolina

Salary: USD $22.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Pull key data elements to support 2027 business planning.
• Support underwriting functions across the policy lifecycle.
• Assist with new business quoting and policy issuance.
• Process renewals and policy endorsements.
• Participate in team projects, on-the-job assignments, leadership exposure and a community volunteer day.

Requirements

• Current college student status is required; rising juniors and seniors are preferred.
• Must be within commuting distance of Charlotte, North Carolina for the hybrid schedule.
• Interest in learning about the insurance industry.
• High school diploma required.
• Full-time undergraduate juniors or seniors are ideal candidates.

Nice to have

• Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Eligibility to earn college credit according to the institution’s requirements.
