TL;DR
Network Design Liaison (Network Architecture/Technical Project Management): Translating customer mission requirements into network infrastructure designs and coordinating their delivery for the SPARTAN effort with an accent on routing, switching, segmentation, WAN/LAN architecture, and customer-facing technical communication. Focus on leading requirements sessions, managing schedules and risks, coordinating engineering and security stakeholders, and delivering infrastructure solutions for government customers.

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; travel to government and mission-partner locations approximately 25–50%.

Salary: $160,000–$210,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Serve as the technical liaison between customers, engineering teams, and program leadership for SPARTAN network infrastructure solutions.
  • Translate operational and mission requirements into network designs, working sessions, and formal documentation.
  • Lead requirements-gathering sessions, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings with customer stakeholders.
  • Coordinate engineering, security, and program management activities to keep solutions technically sound, compliant, and deliverable.
  • Manage status reporting, milestones, risks, deliverables, technical trade-offs, proposals, and rough-order-of-magnitude estimates.
  • Maintain architecture decisions, network documentation, and lessons learned while supporting customer meetings, conferences, and site visits.

Requirements

  • US citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience across network engineering or architecture and technical project or program delivery.
  • Understanding of routing, switching, network segmentation, WAN/LAN architecture, and related network infrastructure technologies.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, risk and issue tracking, scope management, stakeholder communication, and customer relationship management.
  • Experience working with government customers, mission partners, or external stakeholders in customer-facing solutions or delivery roles.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25–50%.

Nice to have

  • Experience with DoD, Space Force, NRO, federal, or intelligence-community network infrastructure programs.
  • PMP, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent network and project management certifications.
  • Background as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Systems Engineer in a government contracting environment.
  • Familiarity with SPARTAN or similar network infrastructure initiatives and geographically distributed government customers.
  • Experience with cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.
