Computer Science Internship Summer 2027

Location: Remote internship for US citizens; the team is local to San Antonio, TX, with possible in-person collaboration

hirify.global is a government contracting small business providing professional information technology development and support.

What you will do

• Apply cybersecurity techniques to offensive and defensive missions.
• Create, code, debug, test, and demonstrate custom software applications.
• Develop technology demonstrations using commercial cloud infrastructures such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Assess new application ideas and research competitor offerings.
• Work with a team to develop an application and present a prototype to company leadership.

Requirements

• US citizenship and the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance are required.
• Computer Science major with an expected graduation date of May 2028.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA, strong analytical and mathematical skills, and demonstrated academic success.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in teams, think critically, lead, and learn independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with group programming projects, Agile processes, or Scrum.
• Proficiency in Java and Python.
• Frontend or backend development experience.
• Experience with Node, Git, and cloud systems such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Personal software development projects.
