Software Engineer (Java or Python) (Cybersecurity): Building and maintaining secure, scalable software components, RESTful services, and automation for a mobile threat defense platform with an accent on application development, cloud infrastructure, and threat detection. Focus on designing complex systems, integrating SDLC automation into Agile Scrum, and solving performance, security, and scalability challenges.
Location: Dallas, Texas; hybrid workplace

What you will do
- Develop, debug, and maintain complex application components based on technical specifications.
- Build secure, scalable, and high-performance software and RESTful web services.
- Own the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, development, automation, support, and release launches.
- Collaborate with product management, customer success, QA, DevOps, SRE, analysts, architects, and developers.
- Participate in Agile Scrum planning and daily stand-ups while adapting to changing requirements.
- Identify security issues, delivery bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, exploits, phishing, intrusions, and malware threats.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of experience in software design, development, and automation.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, including Java or Python.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, Spring applications, unit testing with JUnit or TestNG, and Rest Assured.
- Knowledge of operating systems, multithreading, callbacks, scalability, databases, cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Agile development, SDLC/STLC, embedded systems, XML, JSON, and software development tools.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and network penetration testing.
- Experience with man-in-the-middle attacks, SSL stripping, network vulnerability assessment, rogue access points, and reconnaissance scans.
