Accounting Supervisor: Regional Financial Controller

Location: Onsite in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil

What you will do

• Manage financial accounting and monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow forecasts.
• Handle fixed asset accounting and US GAAP lease accounting for local entities.
• Coordinate statutory compliance, tax authority inquiries, tax audits, and monthly payroll with external providers.
• Partner with global accounts payable, treasury, purchasing, facilities, and other teams to support operations in Brazil.
• Ensure local financial processes comply with corporate policies and support ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• Completed bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English, written and verbal, are required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new accounting solutions and related applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Professional accounting certification.
• SAP experience.
• Experience with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Experience working in a matrix structure with multicultural teams across locations and time zones.
