Accounting Senior Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in São Paulo or Campinas, Brazil; the role is based in São Paulo. Travel to company offsites is required at least twice per year.

What you will do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for all Brazilian entities and deliver reporting packages to the US finance team.
• Direct outsourced accounting, tax, and payroll providers, review their work, resolve open items, and enforce close deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain statutory books, Brazilian tax compliance, reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany activity, and FX translation.
• Own accounting and reporting for the FIDC, including portfolio calculations, loan loss provisioning, waterfall mechanics, CVM filings, and audited fund statements.
• Prepare the US GAAP reporting package, including the local-to-US GAAP bridge and supporting documentation.
• Manage Brazilian statutory and FIDC audits while supporting the US audit and serving as the accounting contact for banks, auditors, fund administrators, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent and CRC registration.
• 6+ years of accounting experience, including leadership of an accounting team or outsourced provider.
• Deep, current knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards, CPC/IFRS as adopted in Brazil, and Brazilian statutory and tax reporting obligations.
• Experience owning an end-to-end close cycle for a multi-entity organization and managing external accounting, tax, or payroll providers.
• Fluent Portuguese and English required for local operations and weekly collaboration with the US team.
• Ability to operate as the senior finance presence in Brazil with a US-based manager across time zones, with strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of US GAAP and experience preparing local-to-US GAAP reporting packages.
• Experience with FIDCs, securitization vehicles, fund accounting, or CVM reporting.
• Experience in financial services, lending, or fintech; NetSuite experience; or Big Four and US external audit support.
• Experience establishing or scaling accounting operations for a foreign subsidiary.
