Director of Operations (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Site-based at the Ward County campus in Texas, United States; relocation is expected for candidates outside a reasonable commuting distance.

Salary: $180,000–$250,000 USD base salary per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and/or commission.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operations and operational performance for the Ward County campus and its critical infrastructure.
• Build the Operations organisation, including staffing, leadership structure, training, competency, and succession planning.
• Establish operational readiness, acceptance, handover, maintenance, and asset-management programmes for facilities and infrastructure deployments.
• Oversee electrical, mechanical, cooling, controls, monitoring, BMS, EPMS, DCIM, and other critical infrastructure systems.
• Lead incident response, escalation, recovery, post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Drive safety, compliance, operational excellence, performance measurement, and continuous improvement across the campus.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in mission-critical operations, data centres, power generation, utilities, industrial facilities, semiconductor manufacturing, or another complex operational environment.
• Experience leading critical infrastructure operations where safety, availability, and operational discipline are essential.
• Experience leading technical teams and developing operational leaders.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure and facility interdependencies.
• Experience with operational procedures, maintenance programmes, incident management, emergency response, and MOP-, SOP-, and EOP-driven environments.
• Strong judgment, decision-making, communication, and leadership skills during high-pressure operational events.

Nice to have

• Experience with hyperscale, AI, high-density compute, or large-scale data centre infrastructure.
• Experience with high-density electrical distribution, liquid cooling, BMS, EPMS, DCIM, SCADA, or controls systems.
• Experience establishing operational readiness or handover programmes for new facilities or major infrastructure deployments.
• Experience with CMMS, critical spares, OEM service models, management of change, operational risk management, or root cause analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, facilities management, or a related technical field.
