OCI Security Consultant (Oracle Cloud Security)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate security controls across OCI, Oracle Cloud Applications, and hybrid Oracle environments.
• Define security architecture and harden cloud workloads using cloud-native security frameworks and CIS benchmarks.
• Manage OCI identity, access controls, federation, and security services including Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching, compliance programs, threat detection, and security incident response.
• Integrate cloud workloads with SIEM platforms and translate cross-functional requirements into production-ready solutions.
• Contribute through code and design reviews while mentoring more junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of cloud security experience, including strong hands-on OCI experience; six or more years of overall experience is listed for the position.
• Deep experience with OCI Identity, IAM policies, identity federation, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe.
• Experience with vulnerability management, patching tools, SIEM integrations, and regulatory frameworks including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash, plus Terraform experience.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Security Professional certification.
• CISSP, CCSP, or an equivalent security certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud security architectures, SOAR platforms, automated incident response, or zero-trust architecture.
