Oracle Cloud Security Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate security controls across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Cloud Applications, and hybrid Oracle environments.
• Define security architecture and harden cloud workloads using OCI security services and cloud-native security frameworks.
• Manage identity, access controls, IAM policies, and identity federation.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching, compliance, and security monitoring programs.
• Integrate cloud workloads with SIEM platforms and respond to security incidents.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders while contributing through code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 12+ years of experience required, including at least five years of cloud security experience and strong hands-on experience with OCI.
• Deep experience with OCI Identity, IAM policies, identity federation, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe.
• Knowledge of cloud-native security frameworks, CIS benchmarks, vulnerability management, patching, and regulatory frameworks including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
• Strong scripting skills with Python and Bash, Terraform experience, and excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States as U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, or H-1B transfer candidates. New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Security Professional certification.
• CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent security certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud security architectures, SOAR platforms, automated incident response, or zero-trust architecture.
