Senior Security Engineer (Enterprise Security)

Location: Hybrid work from an hirify.global office at least 3 days per week; available locations include Seattle, Mountain View, Bozeman, San Francisco, Coppell, Livonia, Louisville, and Pittsburgh in the United States.

Salary: $162,000–$260,000 per year for Seattle, San Francisco, and Mountain View; $146,000–$234,000 per year for Bozeman. Eligible for annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and harden enterprise security controls across endpoint, identity, network, and data domains.
• Configure, tune, and maintain EDR, IAM, DLP, PKI, and email security platforms.
• Build Python and Go automation and tooling to reduce manual security work.
• Support device hardening and endpoint security baselines across macOS, Linux, and Windows.
• Contribute to network security initiatives involving segmentation, DNS security, VPN/Tailscale, and 802.1x.
• Support vulnerability management, SIEM and detection pipelines, on-call operations, and scoped initiatives with IT and Engineering.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise or corporate security engineering focused on employee-facing systems, endpoints, identity, and internal infrastructure.
• Working proficiency in Python and Go for real automation or tooling.
• Hands-on experience with multiple enterprise security domains, including EDR, IAM, DLP, email security, vulnerability management, network security, and PKI.
• Operating-system security experience across Linux and macOS, with some Windows exposure.
• Ability to deliver scoped projects from requirements through implementation with light guidance.
• Exposure to SIEM and detection pipelines, including log queries and basic detection logic.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tailscale, 802.1x, or similar zero-trust network access tooling.
• Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault or another secrets and PKI platform.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, LLM-based AI tools, agentic workflows, or MCP.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, or CIS Benchmarks.
• Security certifications such as Security+ or CISSP.
