Backend AI Engineer (LLM)

Location: On-site in Stockholm, Sweden; candidates must be willing and legally able to work in Sweden, including relocation if needed.

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 USD annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable backend systems and services.
• Tune and iterate on LLM integrations in production.
• Optimize AI agent orchestration for reliability and efficiency.
• Own backend infrastructure and AI pipeline work end to end.
• Ship continuous improvements that enhance platform performance and user experience.

Requirements

• Substantial hands-on experience coding and shipping production software.
• Strong backend engineering experience with distributed systems and scalability.
• Production experience optimizing LLMs and AI agent flows.
• High agency, clear ownership, and sustained commitment to technical craft.
• A strong side-project portfolio demonstrating technical depth and curiosity.
• Must be willing and legally able to work on-site in Stockholm, Sweden. Visa sponsorship is not available.
