Software Engineer II (AI)

Location: Vancouver, Canada; hybrid

Salary: CAD 100,000–130,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, and deploy features for a generative AI platform.
• Build scalable services using Java, Spring, React, cloud platforms, and relational databases.
• Develop agentic AI capabilities that identify management concerns and suggest possible actions.
• Enable AI-based customer use cases in collaboration with the Product team.
• Work with development teams and Data Science stakeholders providing OKRs, product portfolios, and engineering work tickets.
• Support services in a DevOps environment using a build-it-and-support-it approach.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Java, including idioms and design patterns.
• At least 1 year of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• At least 1 year of experience with React, Spring, and relational databases.
• At least 1 year of experience working with LLMs such as Claude Sonnet.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with knowledge of modern software design and Agile development practices.

• Practical experience applying AI to software development.
• Experience with data strategy.
