Designer - VDC (Revit)

Salary: $112,640–$143,360 per year

What you will do

• Create, manage, and refine 3D electrical system models in Revit.
• Coordinate BIM models with other disciplines and trades, identify clashes, and resolve issues using Navisworks or Revizto.
• Prepare technical drawings, schedules, and bills of materials to support procurement and construction.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and manage models, deadlines, and deliverables for medium-to-large projects.
• Improve BIM workflows, support standards development, and train junior designers in BIM best practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in BIM coordination or electrical design in the construction industry.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical BIM tools and understanding of electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks or Revizto, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a two-year degree in electrical construction or electrical design is preferred.
• Strong organization, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in the Eagan office and meet the role’s physical office requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Dynamo scripting or other Revit automation tools.
• Experience with BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and standards, including NEC and IEC.
