VDC Coordinator (Virtual Design & Construction)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: Level I $60,000–$78,000; Level II $84,500–$112,000; Lead $99,700–$127,700 per year.

What you will do

• Support VDC and BIM objectives in collaboration with project managers, engineers, designers, and field teams.
• Develop, update, maintain, and quality-check accurate 3D models using Revit and other VDC tools.
• Assist with model reviews, clash detection, issue tracking, resolution support, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Prepare federated models, coordination files, BIM documentation, workflows, and project deliverables.
• Support model-based constructability reviews, field implementation, training, and continuous improvement of VDC processes.
• For lead roles, manage VDC support across multiple projects, lead coordination meetings, oversee BIM Execution Plans, scope, schedules, budgets, and staff development.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in VDC, BIM coordination, design technology, construction, engineering, or a related field; lead roles require at least 4 years.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Revit and familiarity with Navisworks for model review, coordination, and clash detection.
• Lead roles require advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other relevant VDC/BIM software.
• Understanding of BIM workflows, construction means and methods, MEP systems, multidisciplinary coordination, and applicable construction codes and standards.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
