Workday EM/PM Director - Commercial (Workday)

Location: Chicago, United States — 550 Van Buren

Salary: $175,000–$225,000 base annually; total estimated compensation of $227,500–$303,750 including annual incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Serve as program executive and trusted advisor for Commercial Workday engagements across manufacturing, consumer products, technology, professional services, retail, distribution, and other commercial sectors.
• Lead delivery of large-scale Workday implementation, optimization, expansion, and post-production support programs.
• Oversee scope, timelines, budgets, quality, client satisfaction, financial performance, risks, and escalations.
• Advise executive stakeholders on workforce transformation, finance modernization, supply chain optimization, operating models, Agentic AI, intelligent automation, and Workday roadmaps.
• Lead steering committees, governance discussions, strategic decision-making, and complex issue resolution.
• Mentor engagement leaders, project managers, directors, and consulting teams while supporting recruiting and leadership development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, human resources, finance, supply chain, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in consulting, enterprise technology, digital transformation, or business transformation leadership.
• 10+ years of experience leading complex enterprise application implementations and strategic transformation programs.
• Prior Workday implementation or Workday ecosystem experience, including experience with HCM, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Payroll, Planning, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud ERP, HCM, Finance, Supply Chain, or digital transformation initiatives for Commercial organizations.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, financial management, contract negotiation, alliance management, sales pursuit, and business development skills; willingness to travel as required.

Nice to have

• Experience across manufacturing, consumer products, retail, technology, distribution, professional services, or other private-sector industries.
• Experience managing large, geographically dispersed, and matrixed project teams.
