Quality Control Inspector I

Location: Onsite manufacturing role in a US employment context

Salary: $21–$24 per hour

What you will do

• Perform final inspections of switches and parts before shipment using visual inspection and measuring tools.
• Inspect work before it moves to the next operation and document results in production and quality forms.
• Generate and support non-conformance reports, conduct internal process audits, and report ISO violations.
• Train production personnel and team members in inspection and process-control methods.
• Communicate drawing discrepancies to Engineering and participate in customer inspections and prototype reviews.
• Support dimensional analysis and create or implement process control charts for critical processes.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, bills of material, wiring diagrams, and ladder diagrams.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel; ERP experience is desirable.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, a Fluke multimeter, and small hand and power tools.
• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of work experience and skill development.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ideally, 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and the ability to meet medium-heavy physical demands, including lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance.
