Quality Auditor (Manufacturing Quality)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; onsite third-shift production environment

Salary: $22.81–$26.93 per hour

What you will do

• Support production by teaching operators to use gauges and other quality equipment correctly.
• Audit incoming components, raw materials, work-in-process, quarantined inventory, reworked assemblies, and finished goods against specifications and tolerances.
• Sort nonconforming materials, apply hold-tag procedures, and escalate quality issues through the proper chain of command.
• Inspect completed rework and recommend process and inspection-procedure improvements.
• Maintain quality data and files, including PPAP, FAIR, RMO, deviation, PQR, FTQ, and PP100 records.
• Maintain inspection equipment, prepare layout sheets and shipping orders, and support other quality personnel as needed.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience using basic gauging equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing parts, dimensions, tolerances, inspection equipment, and quality terminology.
• Experience in the production area supported by the role, such as seats, engines, or metal fabrication.
• Working knowledge of PC software and the AS400 system, including data entry and retrieval.
• Strong oral and written communication, organizational, leadership, conflict-management, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Authorization to work for any employer in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Technical diploma or equivalent training.
• Previous inspection experience or related education.
