Maintenance Technician

Location: New York, NY; applicants must already have authorization and the right to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus and benefits

What you will do

• Support the Facilities Manager and Senior Project Manager with relocations, office reconfigurations, meeting setups, and daily maintenance operations.
• Set up conference rooms and manage work orders through the MRI-Angus service request system.
• Perform general repairs, including lighting, ceiling tiles, carpentry, shelving, artwork installation, small plumbing repairs, carpet repairs, shades, and thermostats.
• Respond to comfort-cooling requests, assess client-space temperatures, and adjust thermostats and induction units.
• Deliver and collect archive boxes, escort deliveries and contractors, and verify scheduled services.
• Coordinate customer carpentry appointments, maintain supplies, report issues, and resolve client requests professionally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least five years of experience in a Class A commercial property preferred.
• Ability to operate computers, power tools, and a two-way radio.
• Ability to organize work, solve problems, make decisions during crises, and interpret building plans and blueprints.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 100 pounds and occasionally up to 250 pounds, with frequent standing, bending, reaching, stair climbing, and walking.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
