PRN MA (Medical Assistant)

Salary: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare examination rooms, and keep clinical areas clean and stocked.
• Review medical histories, collect updated health information, take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations under provider direction and written orders.
• Manage front-desk activities including scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, documentation, referrals, and specialist coordination.
• Process test results, update medical records, communicate results to patients, and conduct outreach to improve patient engagement.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration; certification or registration is required where mandated by the state.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.
• Experience with phlebotomy is preferred.
