Senior Counsel (AI Healthcare)

Location: In person in New York; all full-time roles are office-based.

hirify.global is building an AI-powered healthcare network connecting doctors, pharmacies, payers, and biopharma to help patients access medicines faster and support pharmaceutical research and launches.

What you will do

• Advise business stakeholders on legal and compliance matters across healthcare operations, clinical operations, marketing, privacy, and data governance.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and develop playbooks, templates, and escalation guidance.
• Create scalable legal policies, guidance, templates, and AI-enabled workflows for efficient decision-making.
• Own core platform agreements, including provider Terms of Service, privacy notices, and website terms.
• Lead privacy and HIPAA counseling, including data mapping, privacy-request workflows, minimum-necessary practices, and coordination with Security on technical controls.
• Partner with Compliance on the healthcare compliance program, including OIG guidance, enterprise risk assessments, and evolving business risks.

Requirements

• 6+ years of legal experience in commercial contracts and business counseling.
• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Experience independently handling complex commercial matters; healthcare or healthtech experience is strongly preferred.
• Meaningful experience with privacy and healthcare regulatory matters, including HIPAA/HITECH, data use and sharing, business associate agreements, and privacy requests or incidents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable guidance.
• Ability to move quickly, solve problems resourcefully, and operate with substantial autonomy and responsibility.
