Lead Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: On-site in Southlake, Texas, United States

Salary: USD 178,000–205,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive opportunities

What you will do

• Lead modernization initiatives for Retirement Plan Services technology platforms.
• Design and develop secure, scalable APIs using .NET technologies.
• Partner with architects and product teams on Domain-Driven Design and Clean Architecture.
• Integrate APIs with public and private cloud environments and enterprise systems.
• Drive governance, coding standards, CI/CD practices, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor engineers, guide technical delivery across teams, and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including strong API development experience.
• 5+ years in engineering leadership roles delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
• Expertise in .NET Core/.NET 6+, C#, RESTful API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture, CI/CD, Git, automated testing, OAuth2, and JWT.
• Experience with Agile/SAFe practices, Scrum leadership, legacy-system migration, and cloud-native platforms such as PCF/Tanzu.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-driven development tools or Vertex AI ADK.
• Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems.
• Experience with AppDynamics, Splunk, Prometheus, or other observability tools.
• Financial services or retirement plan systems experience.
