Staff Commissioning Engineer (Data Center)

Location: Dallas, TX, US; on-site with 75% travel to project sites

Salary: $140,000–$165,000 annually plus bonus and restricted stock units

What you will do

• Own the full commissioning lifecycle for assigned data center projects, from factory witness testing through integrated systems testing and formal turnover.
• Serve as the on-site mechanical subject matter expert and primary escalation point for technical commissioning issues.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, O&M documentation, test procedures, commissioning plans, L2–L5 scripts, reports, and turnover packages.
• Manage third-party commissioning agents, vendors, factory testing, startup validation, quality control, and installation inspections.
• Drive issue identification, troubleshooting, remediation, testing, and formal closure across commissioning phases.
• Coordinate construction, engineering, controls, operations, procurement, and vendors while supporting operational handover and training.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data center commissioning, construction, or critical infrastructure delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; equivalent commissioning experience may be considered.
• Deep knowledge of L1–L5 commissioning levels, documentation, and testing requirements.
• Hands-on experience with data center cooling infrastructure and BMS infrastructure.
• Experience managing commissioning agents and vendors, reviewing technical drawings and procedures, and tracking issues, risks, and project reporting.
• Ability to work on-site in Dallas, US and travel to project sites approximately 75% of the time.
