Manager – Manufacturing Digital Twin

Location: Evanston, Illinois, United States; hybrid model with onsite presence at clients or hirify.global offices three days per week and remote work two days per week.

Salary: $200,000–$229,500 per year, plus cost-of-living adjustment, bonus incentives, leave policies, insurance, retirement benefits, and relocation support.

What you will do

• Architect and implement digital twin frameworks integrating real-time data, process models, and 3D environments for manufacturing systems.
• Lead teams modeling, simulating, and validating workflows to reduce downtime and improve throughput before real-world deployment.
• Apply physics-based modeling, robotics simulation, virtual commissioning, and advanced analytics to factory operations.
• Advise senior manufacturing and digital leaders on digital twin use cases, technology selection, system integration, and change management.
• Develop adoption roadmaps, capability assessments, maturity models, value realization frameworks, reusable simulation assets, and cross-industry playbooks.
• Lead and mentor global simulation engineers, process modelers, and digital solution architects while coordinating with engineering, IT, and operations stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mechatronics, or a related technical field; a master’s degree or MBA is strongly preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations, simulation, digital engineering, or digital twin implementations.
• Experience with manufacturing simulation platforms such as Siemens Tecnomatix, Dassault DELMIA, or similar tools.
• Deep knowledge of robotics simulation, factory automation, and virtual commissioning.
• Familiarity with NVIDIA Omniverse, OpenUSD standards, and CAD/PLM tools including NX, Revit, and SolidWorks.
• Understanding of live data integration with MES, SCADA, and ERP systems, plus strong consultative communication and multidisciplinary team leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated biopharma or medtech environments, including GxP compliance, 21 CFR Part 11, or EU Annex 11.
• Prior consulting or client-facing experience with complex digital transformation initiatives.
