Program Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote anywhere within the United States; preferred location is the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Periodic travel to customer sites, program meetings, and contractor locations may be required.

Salary: $200,000–$235,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the overall program manager and primary point of contact for Assessment & Authorization activities.
• Lead large, complex federal programs and multiple concurrent projects, task orders, and workstreams.
• Manage risks, dependencies, schedules, budgets, staffing, resources, deliverables, and overall program performance.
• Integrate subcontractors, supporting contractors, technical leads, and geographically dispersed teams.
• Maintain senior-level relationships with government stakeholders and lead customer reviews, briefings, reports, and presentations.
• Develop strategic plans and recommend improvements to support operational efficiency, compliance, and mission success.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, business administration, management, information technology, cybersecurity, or another scientific or technical discipline; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• At least 15 years of progressively responsible program management experience supporting large, complex federal IT or cybersecurity programs.
• Experience managing multiple projects, task orders, budgets, schedules, risks, deliverables, subcontractors, and contractor integration in a federal environment.
• Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams across multiple customer and contractor locations.
• Strong understanding of Assessment & Authorization, Risk Management Framework, NIST security standards, and federal cybersecurity compliance.
• Must be able to satisfy customer security requirements and obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance if not already holding an active Top Secret or DOE Q clearance.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CAP, or PMP certification.
• Experience supporting large federal civilian agencies.
• Experience managing enterprise cybersecurity, Assessment & Authorization, or Risk Management Framework programs.
• Active Top Secret or DOE Q security clearance.
